I don’t know if I’ve said it before, but sometimes I really have a lot of fun acting. Over the past few weeks, I’ve really had the chance to do things I’ve wanted to do for a while thanks to playing the host of JC Sunshine’s Fireside Chat.
I got to attack the Death Star in an x-wing and get beamed around for our sci-fi episode and last weekend I was part of a zombie movie which you can watch tonight. It’s not a full movie, of course, but a pre-recorded segment that fits into tonight’s live Halloween episode (now available on demand).

We went all-out for this one with make-up and costumes, special effects of the gore variety, action sequences, a bunch of new actors and even a better-quality camera than we are used to. We normally do web-TV on the cheap, this time it was web-TV on the sort of cheap.
It took us a whole day and most of a night to shoot what has become roughly six minutes of video, or a mini zombie flick complete with a zombie hunter, fake blood, a bit of a plot and plenty of “brrraiiins!” This segment will fit nicely into a show where the rest of the content will be shot live and consist of Halloween humor and regular JC Sunshine banter.
The special guests will be members of the Dead Dolls dance troupe. With their zombie-esque (though still sexy) look, they are very appropriate guests for a Halloween episode. I’m not sure, but we also might bring up some of what’s been going on with the city trying to evict the artists of Café Cleopatre, which is a scary situation in its own right.
This is going to be quite an episode and it’s already been quite a ride for me. No matter how you cut it, it’s most definitely a fun and interesting way to spend Halloween!

Just like a real zombie movie - a promo poster!
