I’m back!
Posted by Jason in General, My Acting, My Writing on April 26, 2010
Well, it’s been a while. No, I haven’t been away on some sabbatical out in nature putting off all things electronic for a while. Far from it. In fact, I’ve been quite active online, just not on this site. You see, Forget The Box, the site whose online magazine I edit and contribute to has undergone a major revamp in terms of its backend (what you don’t see).
Top O’ the mornin’ to ye!
Please forgive the cliche in the title, I’m half Irish, so I can get away with it, at least today. It’s the St-Patrick’s Parade Day in Montreal and I’m in a good mood. True, my mood might be a little more surly by the time you get around to reading this, but no worries, by that time, yours may too.
Blasts from the past
Regular readers (and by regular, I mean those of you who read this site from start to finish) may have noticed that thirteen new posts just showed up in one shot. They may also have noticed that these posts are dated from 2005 through 2008.
One of the great mysteries of my life…solved!

The Montreal metro system has four lines and each one has a number. The green line is line one, the orange line is two, yellow is four and blue is five. Do you see something missing here? I do and so have many others. All metro maps used to have the lines numbered, now they don’t. The numbers haven’t changed, though – just click on the station info for any stop on the official STM website or listen to any service interruption announcement and you’ll know that the same numbering system is in place. So what is the STM hiding?
It’s all about me and stuff I do
I’m going to use it to write about stuff that interests me that doesn’t really fit in other places I write like Forget The Box Magazine, my Sunday Theatrics column, OTL Blog and The Talking Stick. I’m also going to post links to stuff I write there, like this one to the article I wrote today on The Pirate Party of Canada.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane…in traffic

Yesterday, I was heading with some friends to the Tam Tams (a weekly celebration/chill out held in Mount-Royal Park near my house) when we noticed a bunch of cop cars and firetrucks headed to where a group of people had gathered, almost in front of the (now under construction) monument at the corner of Rachel and du Parc.

This bandwagon feels comfy

I just did something that I haven’t done in a long time, possibly ever. I searched for and watched a hockey game online. Now don’t get me wrong, while I’m not much of a sports fan in general, I do watch hockey, or at least Habs games in the playoffs, I am a Montrealer after all. But to date, it’s only been in one of two situations: either game’s on TV and there’s nothing else on (or I’m at someone else’s house) or I’m out at a bar.
